I’m Mrs. Eaves. I stole my secret internet name from the font. I’m a geek that way. I am married to the Bosphorus and we have four kids who are frequently (and not always happily) the subjects of my pictures.

I got my start in the blog world over at atomictumor. I have never been the most prolific writer over at the ‘tumor; at last count, I have 83 posts to AT’s 1,432. Time is always an issue and I am a ….very….slow….writer…. (seriously, it will take me all night to write this About page).

At some point I realized that I would much rather put up a picture than have to pick through words and stories and meanings. Rather than clutter up the ‘tumor, I started Camera Shy on May 5, 2007.

Why Camera Shy, as a name? My original tagline said, “I like cameras. I’m shy. Why not?” And really, that about sums it up. I enjoy taking pictures and sharing them. I am shy and unsure of myself. Camera Shy very aptly describes this conflict:

Camera = the desire to create, reveal, communicate

Shy = the desire to hide, suppress, subdue

I post “one-a-day, like a multivitamin.” I hope that you like the pictures. I don’t always know what I’m doing. But that’s okay. Learning is a good thing.
